Everybody I meet wants so bad to be happy. Happiness is what most people spend their lives seeking. Many people are so unhappy because they can’t seem to get this feeling called HAPPINESS. I see many unhappy people. They are unhappy and miserable. So many people blame God as the source of their unhappiness.
Happiness is an emotions that you feel. Joy is an emotion to and you feel. The difference is the source and power. Happiness comes from something outside of you. You win the lottery you are happy. You spend it all and are broke you are unhappy. You get a new job you are happy. You get fired you are unhappy. Your wife or husband gets you something special that you really wanted you are happy. They get something you don’t even like or want, you are unhappy.
Happiness so conditional because it is an emotion you get and you express with feelings only if you get from an outside of you source. Happiness comes from things, stuff, people, money, opportunities, and when you don’t have them then comes unhappiness.
Happy one hour and unhappy the next hour.
That is because happiness is an emotion in which we “experience feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense pleasure,” whereas joy “is a stronger, less common feeling than happiness.” We experience joy when we achieve selflessness to the point of personal sacrifice. We feel joy when we are spiritually connected to God or people.
Joy is deeper. Joy comes from inside you that will effect your feelings no matter what is happening outside of you. Happy is natural and joy is very spirit based.
“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:” Habakkuk 3:17 KJV
See the picture, fig tree no blossoms, no fruit on the vines, all the work in the fields of olives failed, no meat in the fields, flock cut off from the fold and no beef in the stalls.
They got nothing. Everything about their life is failing. They are broke, hurting, empty, struggling to survive. This is like saying, I just got laid off, my car broke down, they drained my bank accounts, my mortgage is past due and my kids are sick.
This is a bleak and barren picture.
Yet says regardless of what is not going right, I will rejoice, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:18 KJV
Rejoice means to give JOY TO: To Feel Joy or great delight. Synonyms are like: merrymaking, cheering, triumph, celebration.
“Yet I will [choose to] rejoice in the LORD; I will [choose to] shout in exultation in the [victorious] God of my salvation!” HABAKKUK 3:18 AMP
Everything looks really not good. He has every right to be angry, bitter, hateful. This is the trap the enemy uses to get into believers life. He uses the hurt, the offenses, the bitterness, the letdowns to get in and rip the believer of their powers.
People say it that happened to me I would feel the same way. You have a right to feel angry and bitter. You have a right to hate. You have a right to feel miserable. You have a right to blame them and God.
Human weak understandings. This is why people turn to suicide, addictions, every manner COHOLICS. ALCOHOLICS, WORKAHOLICS, EATAHOLICS, GAMBLEHOLICS, EVERYTHING HOLICS.
Because they can’t get happiness. Nothing makes them happy. Or because we don’t realize happiness is dependent on things outside of you. Things you have no control of. Happy or unhappy controls your emotions and feelings. This is emotional bondage.
He yet I rejoice. The AMP SAYS YET I WILL CHOOSE TO REJOICE IN THE LORD.
You can’t choose happy cause it is created by stuff, things, people, situations, circumstances going in your favor. You have no control of this emotions.
Rejoicing is a choice. YET WILL I CHOOSE TO REJOICE IN THE LORD NO MATTER WHAT I AM GOING THRU. YET WILL I CHOOSE TO REJOICE IN THE LORD WHEN ALL HELL IS BREAKING LOOSE.
THIS IS INTERNAL AND IT HAS TO DO WITH YOUR HEART AND SPIRIT. THIS IS THE INNER MAN. WE CAN NO CHOOSE AND LET EVERYTHING GOING ON CONTROL YOUR FEELINGS OR YOU CAN GO DEEP INSIDE YOUR SPIRIT AND CHOOSE TO REJOICE.
YOU CAN CHOOSE TO CELEBRATE JESUS. WHEN I WAS FACED WITH THE THOUGHTS OF BEING BLIND, MY SPEECH EFFECTED, BEING PARALYZED I WENT UNHAPPY. I WENT ANGRY, I WENT MAD AT GOD, BUT THEN I REALIZED THIS WAS EFFECTING MY HEART.
IT WAS NEGATIVE, IT WAS NOT MAKING ME FEEL GOOD OR HAPPY.
I WENT SPIRIT. I BEGAN TO CHOOSE TO REJOICE IN MY LORD. I CHOSE TO NOT FOCUS OF THE NEGATIVE AND SEE THE GOD POSITIVE.
WHEN YOU CHOOSE TO FOCUS ON THE LACK, THE LOSS, THE HURT, THE PAIN, YOU GET DEEPER IN THE DARKNESS. THE ENEMY COMES RIGHT IN TO DESTROY YOUR LIFE AND FAMILY AND FUTURE. NO HAPPINESS.
THE EMEMY WILL TRY TO TO GIVE YOU A COUNTERFEIT OF HAPPINESS. WHEN ITS FORM THE EMEMY IT IS NOT REAL AND IT WILL NOT LAST. PEOPLE GIVE UP GODS TRUTH AND BLESSINGS FOR A LIE. A COUNTERFEIT OF GODS BLESSINGS. THE WORD SAYS I WILL JOY IN THE GOD OF MY SALVATION.
“I will [choose to] shout in exultation in the [victorious] God of my salvation!”
EITHER YOU WILL ALLOW THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR LIFE CONTROL YOUR LIFE OR YOU GO DEEP IN YOUR SPIRIT AND CHOOSE TO SHOUT IN EXULTATION IN THE VICTORIOUS GOD OF MY SALVATION.
WHEN YOU SHOUT IT BRINGS UP POWER FROM WITHIN YOU. WHEN YOU SHOUT IT EMPOWERS YOU WITH GODS CONFIDENCE. WHEN YOU SHOUT YOU CHOOSE JOY IN THE GOD OF YOUR SALVATION.
DAVID SHOUTED AS HE RAN TOWARDS GOLIATH. JOSHUA AND THE ARMY SHOUTED AS MARCHED AROUND THE CITY AND THE WALLS FELL DOWN. JESUS SHOUTED AS HE GAVE UP HIS SPIRIT TO BE WITH HIS FATHER GOD.
YOU GOT GET YOUR SHOUT OUT. I SHOUTED I WILL LIVE AND NOT DIE. I SHOUTED I WILL SEE MIRACLES IN MY LIFE AND FAMILY. I WILL GROW AND BE ALL THAT MY GOD WANTS ME TO BE.
JOY IS DEEPER AND THE SOURCE IS DIFFERENT. HAPPINESS THE SOURCE IS OUTSIDE OF YOU. JOY IS COMES FROM DEEP FROM A DEEP RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR GOD.
J-JESUS. O-OTHERS. Y-YOU.
WHEN YOU CHOOSE JOY THIS IS WHAT IS PRODUCED FROM WITHIN YOUR SPIRIT. “The Lord GOD is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet And makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility]. For the choir director, on my stringed instruments.” HABAKKUK 3:19 AMP
THE LORD GOD IS MY STRENGTH. YOUR STRENGTH IS FOUND DEEP WITHIN YOU AND YOUR SPIRIT. THIS IS WHY THE AUTHOR COULD REJOICE NO MATTER ALL THE NEGATIVE EVENTS THAT SEEMED TO BE GOING ON IN HIS LIFE.
IF YOU ARE CHASING FOR HAPPINESS YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY VERY LONG BECAUSE EVERYTHING CHANGES. IF YOU CHOOSE JOY, YOU WILL HAVE A DEEPER LEVEL OF HAPPINESS THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, WHAT YOU DRIVE, WHATS IN YOUR ACCOUNT OR WHO LOVES OR LIKES OR NOT.
YOU WILL HAVE JOY BECAUSE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. JOY IS DEEP.
WHEN STUFF HITS AND EFFECTS OUR HAPPINESS YOU WILL EITHER GO FLESH OR SPIRIT. JOY LASTS.
MY SOURCE OF COURAGE, MY INVINCIBLE ARMY. THIS IS WHY SO MANY PEOPLE FALL AWAY FROM GOD AND THE CHURCH IS BECAUSE LIFE WILL SHOW WHERE YOUR STRENGTH REALLY LIES.
“Then Ezra said to them, “Go [your way], eat the rich festival food, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be worried, for the joy of the LORD is your strength and your stronghold.” So the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, for the day is holy; do not be worried.” Then all the people went on their way to eat, to drink, to send portions [of food to others] and to celebrate a great festival, because they understood the words which had been communicated to them.” NEHEMIAH 8:10-12 AMP
“[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” HEBREWS 12:2-3 AMP
