Prepare: Make a Plan & Work your Plan

PREPARATION: the action or process of making something ready for use or service or of getting ready for some occasion, test, or duty.

Action and or Process of making ready for use.

ACCELERATION: the act or process of moving faster or happening more quickly, the act or process of speeding up.

“So prepare your minds for action, be completely sober [in spirit– steadfast, self-disciplined, spiritually and morally alert], fix your hope completely on the grace [of God] that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” 1 PETER 1:13 AMP

We are preparing for acceleration. There is no reason for God to accelerate us if we have no direction. We have no plans for Destination so no need of Direction. We live in a feel good world. Many people live life based off of feelings and emotions. Just do whatever feels good. No planning, no real growth.

This is many young people’s mentality, not to knock them but the generations are so much about do whatever you want. It’s all about fun and if it’s not fun don’t do it.

Planning is not always fun but a necessary step in creating what you desire. God Plans. He made plans for us.

“‘For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope.” JEREMIAH 29:11 AMP

Jesus says I go to prepare a place for you. The Lord is a planner. What is a plan?

Plan means: a method for achieving an end: a set of actions that have been thought of as a way to do or achieve something: something that a person intends to do.

We want to accelerate but the key is to prepare. Get your plan ready.

Plan is a method for achieving an end. Most people don’t even think about the destination or where they want to end up.

While we are in a corporate fast is a great time to spend time before the Lord and create a plan for your life and family. Plan is a set of actions that have been thought of as a way to do or achieve something.

I remember in December going to the gym and it was like empty. I asked a trainer what was going on and he said Holidays. He said they are not worried because January so many people would come and sign up. The first of January i seen so many people new to the gym. They sat with their trainers and created a work out plan. They carry their books with their work our plans and schedules.

Think before you go on vacation people spend so much time planning their vacation. The time to travel, what mode of travel, plane, car, train, etc. The cost of a vacation, food, fun, and making sure the money is there and making the activities.

We plan hunting fishing trips. We plan shopping with list of what we need and want. We sit and think, check the pantry, write a list.

We make plans to succeed. We plan to grow in business.

I remember Pastor Yvonne and I many years ago took a course to writing a business plan that would used to get a small business loan. It was an 8 week course, we had to go to Phoenix College and the instructors taught us how to research, type up, and create a business plan for our businesses.

I wrote up my plan for a coffee shop for our ministry but it would make lots of money and provide an inspirational and motivational environment. It was called “Positive Grounds” I had the usual coffee and teas selections but my shop would have motivational and inspirational and positive saying on the walls. We would offer cd’s and books and videos that were inspirational, motivational, and positive to build you up mentally, spiritually, physically.

I had a 3 small rooms with doors and desk to have private meetings with a small rental cost by the hour.

We plan but most people plan things that are not the most important areas of your life.

Plan for a successful business but fail to plan for you family and children. What good is it.

I think about the owner of Amazon. He and wife are getting a divorce with children involved. They have billions but where was the plan for family. All the money in the world won’t create success in family.

Where is our plans for great health???? Most people have no spiritual plan. Americans go to church and hear a message but never create a spiritual plan for their life and family.

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Benjamin Franklin, Founding Father of the United States

“Always plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.”

“Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.” Tom Landry, Hall of Fame football coach

“Plan your work for today and every day, then work your plan.” Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

“Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you ready or not, to put this plan into action.” Napoleon Hill, author

“For which one of you, when he wants to build a watchtower [for his guards], does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to finish it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is unable to finish [the building], all who see it will begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish!’” LUKE 14:28-30 AMP

Planning starts with a goal, desire and end. Here it is to build a watchtower for the guards.

What is your goal for for not just your business life but your family, health, God and spiritual life, success????????

What are wanting to accomplish in this life? It has to be more than money or business.

One day I was getting my hair cut at barber shop in Scottsdale and they owner was Russian. We are talking and he asks me about my family. I tell him about my amazing adult children and all my great grand children. I share that I have 8 great grand kids. He starts yelling out loud how I am Rich and he is poor. He kept on yelling how rich I am. He is yelling at others to see me and look at me I am a rich man. Then he begins to yell at his daughter who is cutting hair that he is poor. She’s not given him any grandkids. He is making this huge scene.

I am Rich. Family Rich.

What’s your goals, dreams, desires, or the end results????

Sit down, calculate the cost, see if you have enough to finish it.

I have seen and been around bidding a job. I remember when I used to work figuring the cost to build projects for clients, material cost, looking at labor and time, on and on in order to bill them.

Sit down means this is not a fast or quick process. It is to take you some time. Taking time to really pray and think about your plans.

Calculate the cost. What is it going to cost you to have a strong marriage, family, life. What is it going to cost you to get healthy???? What are you willing to pay to have the life you desire?????

“Without consultation and wise advice, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they are established and succeed.” PROVERBS 15:22 AMP

“Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].” PROVERBS 16:3 AMP

“May He grant you your heart’s desire And fulfill all your plans.” PSALM 20:4 AMP

“Without goals, and plans to reach them, you are like a ship that has set sail with no destination.” Fitzhugh Dodson, author
