Here I am use me is a response that God is looking to hear from each of us who have been saved, redeemed and born again.
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!””
Isaiah 6:8 AMP
Isaiah was before he responds to the call of God was looking at himself and speaking how he is so unqualified to be used of God. He said he was a man of unclean lips. He was saying God I have all these issues I can’t be used by you. God’s answer was I am calling you regardless of what you think and feel.
If God is calling us He already sees our imperfect self. God does not call perfect people. He calls imperfect people to show others how Gods Love and change us.
Do you feel like God couldn’t possibly use you? Remember:
~ Noah was a drunk, Abraham was too old, Isaac was a daydreamer, Jacob was a liar, Leah was ugly, Joseph was abused, Moses had a stuttering problem (Moses stuttered), Gideon was afraid, Samson had long hair and was a womanizer,
Rahab was a prostitute, Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David was an adulterer and a murderer, Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked, Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow, Job went bankrupt, John the Baptist ate bugs
Peter denied Christ, The disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything, The Samaritan woman was divorced (more than once), Zacchaeus was too small, Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer, Lazarus was dead! David who killed a man and took his wife. Was not a very good father either.
If you look at the Bible God does not call the qualified. God calls ordinary people who with His Spirit, His power, and a willingness to trust Him we will do extraordinary things.
God can use anyone and anything. The key here is its Gods power to empower you to be used by Him.
1. CAN GOD USE ME WITH ALL MY ISSUES? Yes, He can. Look at all the people I listed and I proved God can use you, in spite of all your issues.
God knows everything about us. He knows what you deal with. He knows our weaknesses and challenges. He knows.
God knew David had a lustful and covetous spirit. God knew he was capable of all the dirty deeds. God knew he was fearful and would run and hide from God.
God knew Peter was a boaster, prideful, arrogant, person. God knew and yet kept him and used him.
Think about this, the Bible records that Jesus had Judas the thief as his banker. Jesus knew Judas was stealing, lying, cheating, but kept the doors open for him to change.
2. WHAT CAN I DO? Many times we feel unworthy and unqualified to be used by God, because we see us as we are. God sees you as you will be.
God called David when he was a boy watching over his dad’s sheep. He knew all his imperfections. When God called me, I knew it. I had many issues that were not overcome yet. God seen me what I would and could be in His future.
God sees you the same way. He sees you as competent, victorious, amazing, champion. Even if you don’t feel or see these characteristics God does. He sees them in you even before they are actually working in your life.
You can do anything and everything He calls you to do. If he called you, he will qualify you. Your responsibility is just to say yes Lord, here am I. I am willing.
When God called Moses, Moses made so many excuses. Moses stuttered, he was embarrassed over his speech. God did not call a perfect public speaker to be His champion. He called a man who had challenges, weak self-esteem issues, who felt so inadequate.
It did not matter called Him. I used to battle with this issue. I was not the smartest guy in the church. I was not the best speaker in the church. As a matter of fact, the guys used to make fun and tease me. They would say things like, “ you will never be a Pastor or Preacher.” I was great at cleaning the restrooms and parking lot. I could never see myself leading a church or traveling and preaching all over the world.
God did. He seen it. He had a much bigger vision for my life.
God looks at the heart of a man or woman not so much their talents or abilities.
He turned Moses into a great leader. The power is the He in Me not the me in me. When He gets in you then powerful exploits can happen. It is God in me.
3. GOD USES ORDINARY PEOPLE:
Ephesians 2:10 AMP. “For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”
The Bible speaks of God is potter and we are the clay. He is molding and making us into His amazing, powerful, and beautiful art works.
It says we are His workmanship. His own master work, a work of art.
Have you ever seen some art and say that is ugly. Who are we to say what is ugly and what is beautiful. I have seen abstract art and said i could do better. The key is i did not paint anything. The artist did.
You are His workmanship. Stop putting down Gods work in you. Stop getting impatient with His process and timing. GOD IS WORKING IN YOU FOR YOU. IT MAY NOT LOOK LIKE IT BUT HE IS.
This word says God is creating you and I as His work of art REBORN FROM ABOVE-SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMED, RENEWED, READY TO BE USED—-FOR GOOD WORKS.
STOP IT IS GODS PLAN THAT WE ALL GET INVOLVED IN HIS WORK. JESUS DID SO PEOPLE COULD BE RECONCILED BACK TO GOD IN RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE OF WHAT JESUS DID ON THE CROSS AND RESURRECTION.
Look at this picture. This is what God is doing. He is remaking us better, stronger, more confident, more anointed. He is doing it through us for us.
IMAGE OF MAN. SHOW IT.
4. GOD USES THE WILLING PERSON.
I have learned that God will not force anyone to follow Him, serve Him, love Him or work for Him. I chose to serve Him with my life because He gave me back my life. I literally destroyed me. He saved me, set me free and filled me with purpose, power, vision, and so much HOPE.
WHEN YOU READ THE BIBILE, YOU SEE MANY PEOPLE TOUCHED BY JESUS. MANY GOT FED, HEALED, MIRACLES. WHEN YOU READ THERE WERE A FEW WHO FURTHER THAN JUST A MEAL OR A HEALING. THEY STARTED TO WALK, LIVE AND SERVE WITH JESUS.
Matthew 22:14 AMP. “For many are called (invited, summoned), but few are chosen.””
I believe God calls everyone to join Him in His Life Journey here on earth. He calls but many are to busy, chasing things. Many are to distracted with other things. Many are so self consumed to hear His call. He is calling you and I to join Him is reaching others for His Kingdom.
Isaiah 1:19 AMP. “If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the best of the land;”
The Message Bible says it this way, “If you willingly obey you will feast like Kings.”
5. IT IS GOD’S WILL TO USE YOU, YOU MUST CHOOSE TO BE USED.
God called Jonah and Jonah ran away in fear. Remember the story. He hides on a boat and a huge storm arises. The sailors on the boat fear for their lives. They realize the storm is because of Jonah. They throw him over into the water and the storms stops.
When you not willing to obey storms will be created to convince you to become willing and obey your God. Jesus slept in the storm. He was not afraid. The storm was to convince the disciples to have faith and trust God, and not be afraid of the storm. Jonah was not obeying God so a storm shows up. He is thrown overboard and a huge whale swallows him.
The whale represents circumstances that will swallow you and keep you till you choose to say yes to God. Maybe many of the storms we are facing is a storm to get you to say yes to your God. YES LORD HERE AM I, I WILL WILLINGLY OBEY YOU AND DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. I WILL SERVE IN THE CHURCH. I WILL SERVE IN MY COMMUNITY. I WILL LOVE AND FORGIVE. I WILL PRAY FOR PEOPLE. I WILL INVITE THEM TO CHURCH. I WILL MINISTER AND ENCOURAGE THEM. MY LIFE IS YOURS TO DO WHAT YOU DESIRES. THIS IS OUR GIFT TO GOD.
Ephesians 2:10 MSG.“God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.”
