BACK TO SCHOOL - “New Season of Empowerment & Discipline”

Updated: Feb 28

You and I are creative beings made in the image of God. We were created to create by what we see, say, think, and do. This is how we create great and not so great.

The time is here for back to school and the vacation mentality must wait for another year. It is really hard for some kids and parents to adapt and adjust to getting back into a routine of getting up early to go to school.

When we were touring DaisyRoses school, I could see the way some of the kids and even parents were viewing to the school, classes, and even the teachers. I remember a few times the race to get to the school early to get a parking spot and getting Daisy to class. Everyone is in a huge hurry to get to work or back home with other small children.

God eyes is seeing your life change for the better. There is a great story of God eyes and your eyes in the Bible.

“The servant of the man of God got up early and went out, and behold, there was an army with horses and chariots encircling the city. Elisha’s servant said to him, “Oh no, my master! What are we to do?” 2 Kings 6:15 AMP

The story goes like this. The King of Aram (Syria) was so angry at the prophet Elisha because this King wanted to attack and destroy Israel. God would show Elisha was this King was planning so Elisha would warn the King of Israel. This so infuriated the King of Aram so he decided to send his armies to circle and surround where the prophet Elisha was staying.

The army is in place and they are ready to capture Elisha so here we go in the story.

The servant of Elisha got up early, went out, and say the army. The servant says.

1. Natural eyes see natural problems:

What you see moves you to react or respond. He sees an army totally surrounding the place where they are staying.

This young man is viewing something that is very dangerous and he is alarmed. He sees in the natural so his response is a natural response.

Remember the saying, “what you see is what you get.” How many mistakes and heartaches have we caused ourselves because we see our life a certain way and it moves us to run, hide, fight, quit, sin.

What the army of Israel seen when they looked at Goliath caused them to fear and become immobilized. They saw his size. They saw his armor. They saw his spears. Not one of them would step up and fight, not even the leader and commander King Saul.

Can you imagine the disciples when Jesus decides to feed 5000 plus people with the offering from a little boy? A few fish and loaves. What did the eyes see? They seen lack, they seen doubt, they see no way this can happen. They could only see through the eyes of flesh.

This young servant boy is so afraid because all he can see is the danger, problem what they were facing. We will all face difficult challenges and difficult events. What eyes will you be looking thru when you encounter these events. They will come.

Natural eyes see only problems.

Many people when they first wake up watch the news, check emails and texts so they are already in the natural realm. Everything they see will be natural. You will see obstacles, problems, annoying things, fighting, anger, etc.

The prophet Elijah and the servant both had eyes but they seen with different eyes. The servant seen with natural eyes and all he could see was the enemy which created fear.

The prophet Elijah seen with Gods eyes, eyes of the spirit.

Many times when we respond with anger, bitterness, jealousy, hurt, envious, prideful, we are seeing the situation with our natural eyes. See what your eyes cause you say and do.

2. Spirit eyes:

“for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]—”

2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP

Spirit eyes walk and live by faith, not by sight. When we get angry, mad, jealous, envious, prideful, we are being moved with natural eyes to do natural things. We all have heard this, “its just natural to get mad or upset.”

Our God is not a God of the natural. He is SuperNatural. His realm is above the natural realm. His ways are higher than ours. His thoughts are above ours.

How do we walk by faith? If you read the scriptures verse 6 & 8 they both talk about being absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. They are speaking of Eternity in Heaven is the ultimate freedom and goal of every believer. We are here on this earth for a very short time compared to Eternity.

When you realized this for real, nothing that happens here on this earth can move you. We all freak out about death. Death to the Christian is to be a celebration no matter when He says your time is now.

We see the end as something to be avoided at all cost. With this mindset you can not effectively walk by faith and not by sight. I have had to deal with the fact of dying. I came to grips with it. If it is my time, I am ready to go be with Jesus.

Read verses 6 & 8. You see the same three words, good courage, confident and hope.

A. Courage means: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.

B. Confident means: having a feeling or belief that you can do something well or succeed at something. It is also certain that something will happen or that something is true.

C. Hope means: confidence or assurance in the possibility that what one desires or longs for will happen. It is desire together with the expectation of getting what is wanted.

Only people who truly walk by faith will show these characteristics. This is God’s goal for you and I to live like this.

Living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises. This is walking by faith.

Remember what the servant says to Elijah, “oh no what are we to do?”

Spirit eyes who have learned to walk by faith, see the natural but they are not moved by the natural. They are only moved by the spirit. We live in a time where many claims to walk by faith but then when something happens they get mad, quit, fall apart, run away become filled with fear.

“Elisha answered, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

2 Kings 6:16 AMP

Servant is seeing in fear not faith. Elisha is seeing in Spirit, he sees the solution. He sees what the servant can not see. God wants you to mature, grow, grow up and see Him in the middle of the challenges, problems, hardships, suffering and sickness.

1 John 4:4 “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”

Spirit eyes see solution. Spirit eyes can see spiritual solutions when your natural eyes see only the problems, pain, hurt, and fears and angers. Spirit eyes see like God. Natural eyes see like you.

Spirit eyes will get Gods Solutions and your natural eyes will get your jealousy, prideful, egotistical, selfish, greedy problems you create.

Elisha could see the army that God provided. No Fear, just walking by faith.

“Then Elisha prayed and said, “Lord, please, open his eyes that he may see.” And the Lord opened the servants eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha.”

2 Kings 6:17 AMP

The prayer was for his eyes to be opened that he may see. They were open but only open to the natural. Elisha and Gods prayer for you is that your eyes be opened to become Spirit Eyes. You will constantly be doing and moving in your flesh of anger, jealousy, bitterness, selfishness, prideful, arrogant, and ignorance if you keep walking by what you see.

What you see, really what you see is what you will receive. Please wake up and get this revelation.
