If you watch the news it fuels so much negative emotions. We see the media leans towards fear,
anger, mistrust, suspicion, on and on. So many people watch all this negative information that
we get so programmed that, this is the way we see things. The begin to see, view life through
the negative, the fearful, which causes anxiety and worry which is which leads back to negative
and fear. Can you see this is a vicious cycle that just keeps you going round and round but
never getting any where positive.

This is why God says, “We walk by faith and not by sight.” People who are guided by visual will
most of the times will be more negative cause that is what is seen through the negative
programming.

These negative emotions have and in my opinion have fueled most of the depressions, suicides,
drug addictions, abusive behaviors, compulsive behaviors, on and on.

We are a nation that has turned to things to help us cope with all the negative emotions.
Fear is a negative emotion caused by a real or perceived threat to our well-being. Anxiety
means being uneasy and nervous about something we can’t control—an event, person, or
problem. Worry is to mentally dwell on difficulty or trouble.

We all say we are faith people till something hits our lives. I am a faith person but my faith has
truly been tested. When I had the back to back traumas my mind was a battleground. Fears
were racing all around my mind. Fears of being mentally damaged, fears of loosing my eyesight,
fears of having another stroke or heart attack, because they told me that the next 3 weeks after
the stroke I am susceptible to having another stroke or heart attack. Fears, anxieties everyday
when I was released from the hospital. When I was at home for my mind the battles, I could not
drive, I could not lift anything over 10 lbs. They advised me to not work, because I could not risk
the stress for fear of causing a stroke or heart attack. When we drove to California I had to get
permission for a drive that long. No flying only driving. They had to stop every hour so I could
move and stretch for fear of blood clots.

This is my challenge now. We all have them around our health, finances, our children, families,
relationships, God, church, ministries, our futures, etc.

“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and
situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests
known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which
transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus [is yours].”

PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 AMP

1. DO NOT BE ANXIOUS OR WORRIED ABOUT ANYTHING.
Anxiety means being uneasy and nervous about something we can’t control—an event, person,
or problem. I was overwhelmed with anxiety with all this stuff happening to me. No one really
seen it. I cracked the jokes and smiled but at night I would cry, and reach for God. I could not do it alone. These thoughts were real, I had just had surgery, I had just had a stroke, the Doctors
words shouted louder and louder your more susceptible to another stroke and heart attack.
Then the next week I was stung by a scorpion and my right arm was stinging so bad and numb.
I hid it from everyone. I kept the battles inside of me.

This is exactly what the enemy wants so you and I do not reach out for help. We ought to be
able to say hey I am afraid or I am worried help me. I need help. Please someone help me. We
are so afraid of how we look to others or what others think about us.

“The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the LORD will
be exalted and safe.”

PROVERBS 29:25

There is that word again, FEAR. We love to share our victories and success, but what about the
fears we face. We all face them. Feeling fear is not sin, bad or wrong. Letting fear take over and
control your choices is the danger place.

A snare is a trap like for catching animals. A snare is a trap to capture you, take away your
peace and freedom. This is what fear does as it leads to anxiety and worries. Everyday traps are set. A good hunter set traps all around the prey. Traps set to steal your joy and peace. Traps to steal your finances. Traps to rob you of a hope and future.

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every
circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your
[specific] requests known to God.

It says do not be anxious or worried about ANYTHING, ANYTHING, ANYTHING, ANYTHING,
ANYTHING. NOT YOUR LIFE, BUSINESS, LOSSES, FAILURES, ANYTHING, ANYTHING.

HERE IS HOW———BUT IN EVERYTHING (EVERY CIRCUMSTANCES AND SITUATION) BY
PRAYER AND PETITION ———

THE MOMENT FEAR, ANXIETY, WORRY SHOWS UP LET PRAYER, PETITION,
THANKSGIVING ANSWER THE DOOR. LET PRAYER, PETITION, THANKSGIVING GREET THE
FEAR, ANXIETY, WORRY WITH YOU ARE NOT WELCOME IN THIS HOME AND SHUT THE
DOOR.

PRAYER is when we communicate with God on everything.

PETITION is more direct with specific areas.

THANKSGIVING is flip it, GIVING THANKS.

“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all
understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus [is yours].”

PHILIPPIANS 4:7 AMP

DO NOT BE ANXIOUS OR WORRIED ABOUT ANYTHING.
BUT IN EVERYTHING EVERY SITUATION AND CIRCUMSTANCES
WITH PRAYER, PETITION, AND THANKSGIVING

MAKE YOUR REQUEST KNOWN TO GOD. HE KNOWS WHAT WE NEED AND WANT THIS IS
TO MAKE SURE YOU YOU TRUST, HAVE FAITH AND BELIEVE GOD. MOST WON’T DO THIS
BECAUSE THEY DEEP DOWN DO NOT BELIEVE, LACK THE FAITH OR DO NOT BELIEVE
THEY WILL RECEIVE SO THEY GO BACK TO FEAR, ANXIETY, AND WORRY.

BUT IF WE BELIEVE, TRUST GOD, HAVE FAITH IN OUR GOD——HERE IS YOUR PRIZE AND
REWARD FOR DOING THIS GODS WAY TO PEACE.

“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all
understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus [is yours].”

PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 AMP

THE PEACE OF GOD, IT REASSURES YOUR HEART, THAT PEACE WHICH TRANSCENDS
ALL UNDERSTANDING THAT PEACE WHICH NOW STANDS GUARD OVER OUR HEARTS
AND MINDS IN CHRIST JESUS.

THIS PEACE IS YOUR POWER. WHEN I PUT ON MY WORSHIP AND LIFTED MY HANDS IN
THE HOSPITAL AND PRAYER, PETITION AND THANKSGIVING I STEPPED OUT OF FEAR,
WORRY, ANXIETY, I FELT THE PEACE OF GOD RUSH IN AND FILL MY MIND AND HEART
WITH HIS PEACE.

Here is how to keep that peace which is your power. This is spiritual peace.

“Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is
right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and
brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is
anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and
implant them in your heart]. The things which you have learned and received and heard and
seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and
well-being will be with you.”

PHILIPPIANS 4:8-9 AMP
