Barrier Busters

SERMON NOTES

Divine Principle: If you can’t see it, you can’t receive it. Faith is a product of a renewed mind that changes the way you see things. You need to see yourself according to God’s Truth, not according to facts. What we see in the natural is not how things really are.

Death and Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ messed everyone up. When Jesus was tortured and crucified, everyone belief was Jesus was not powerful. They seen and judged by their eyes. Burial its over, disciples left and went back to fishing. Only a hand full of women kept going to the tomb. Jesus rises and is seen but still no one believes. Even when they seen Him they still did not believe. Doubting Thomas and doubting everyone.

God sees from a spiritual perspective based on His Truth and promises. He wants us to learn to change our perspective and focus on His Word. The fact was Jesus was crucified and died, but the Truth He would rise and defeat Death, Hell and the Grave.

Many times we can’t receive what God has for us because we get stuck in what we think we see so we believe in the natural what we see. Many are sick and ill that focus on the facts instead of believe His Truth. TRUTH IS STRONGER THAN FACTS.
Here is the TRUTH, God wants you to live a life without limits.

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].”
JOHN 10:10 AMP.

“The thief comes not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy the sheep; I am come that they might have life and that they might have it in abundance.”
John 10:10 Jubilee

Resurrection proves we have a limitless God, Savior, and Gospel, yet people still live limited lives. Not the Abundant life till it over flows over. Stuck, living at the same place year after year. Same level of health, relationships, jobs, ministry, the same or lower.

God’s Power, Anointing, Provisions, Abundance awaits us through this process of renewing our thinking, and establishing our heart.

There is Jesus and the enemy. Many believers focus on the enemy but Jesus defeated Him. The enemy has always worked to get Gods people to not go deep in God and Faith. Religion is ok, not spiritual. The enemy worked so hard to destroy the belief in Jesus with His followers.

“For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,”
2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

There was Spiritual Warfare then and there is now. This battle and war is in our thinking. If the enemy can deceive us in our thinking, then he keeps us from receiving God’s Abundant Blessings and Provisions. The enemy tried to discourage the disciples when all of the events were taking place with Jesus.

The Resurrection is Victory. There is a process we must see in order to experience the same power and abundance. For many this is just a religious holiday of church, feel good, family, Easter eggs and candy.

It is so much more we must learn in order to live our lives without limits. The enemy wants to destroy our heart beliefs.

If the enemy could of kept Jesus in the tomb, but he could not. The tomb is the end, death, nothing. How many dreams, abundant living, joy of life, happiness, is sitting in our tombs. So many of Gods people are defeated, depressed, just going thru the motions and just living survival, living pay check to pay check, just barely getting by.

Freedom, Victory, Power, Blessings.

3 strategies the enemy uses

1. Strongholds: A stronghold is anything that makes you feel powerless to change, it is contrary to the Word of God.

2. Arguments: verse 5 The definition of the term arguments is two contrary opinions in your life. James 1:8 calls DOUBLE-MINDEDNESS. Even though God can do powerful amazing things, our belief really is the switch to turn on or off the power of God in our lives.

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,”
Ephesians 3:20 AMP

3. Imaginations: arguments is also translated imaginations. Imaginations are both the problem to our limitations and the solutions to our limitations. You must understand you can never rise above the the image you have of yourself in your heart.

Images are powerful. The enemy got images of failure, loss, of a waste of time in the disciples so they went back to their old lives. If the enemy can get images of lack, loneliness, loss, poverty, resentment, bitterness, etc. Many people people are angry at God, blaming God for the losses, failures, mistakes in their lives. They bought the lie, they are stuck in victim. No victory, no power, no joy, no hope.

The enemies one primary purpose is to create double-mindedness or confusion in the minds and hearts of believers who are destined for greatness.

The grave, hell and death could not keep Jesus down. It is Gods Will you and I come out of the dark, come out of the tomb and be free. Fear, unbelief, doubt.

“For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides].”
JAMES 1:7-8

We have to protect our hearts and our thoughts from getting in this place of fear, doubt, unbelief, etc. What stops the flow of power, joy, anointing, hope, prosperity, clarity, success, unity, love, is when allow the enemy to drop thoughts into our mind and we don’t take them captive and evict them so they get into our hearts and become apart of our heart belief.

What you really believe will show up in your words, attitudes, actions. They disciples believed Jesus was a great promised but he failed. They were depressed, sick, lonely, disappointed, lost.

How many believers go to church but are lost, defeated, broken, hopeless and yet we have the spirit of the living God in us. The Holy Spirit is here, His Kingdom is within us.

If the enemy can get you to believe a lie then the truth has no power for you. You wont become or have what God promised to you.

Remember Gods people, he promised them a land flowing with milk and honey which means wealth and power and influence, joy blessings. What they seen and believed stopped them, kept them from moving into what God promised. They lived in lack, struggle, pain, heartache because of what they allowed to get into their belief.

Many died in bondage in Egypt, then they go into the wilderness where its the place of not enough. They want to stay there, 40 years of going in circles. What kept them there? Defective thinking and destructive believing.

Double-mindedness is the strategy the enemy uses. Limitations are caused, created by WRONG BELIEFS.

YOU AND WILL SELF-SABOTAGE OUR LIVES UNTIL WE SEE A NEW IMAGE OF OURSELVES AND THEN LAUNCH INTO A NEW LEVEL OF SUCCESS AND PRODUCTIVITY.

Remember the saying, “Mirror, Mirror, on the wall.”

“But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. For if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he immediately forgets what he looked like.”
JAMES 1:22-24

When you get up the first thing you do is look in the mirror. You start making adjustments, according to the new image you want. The Word is a mirror that reflects back an image of who you really are. Mirrors don’t lie.

An image is what you see. We all have a self-image, how we view or see ourselves. Our lives are so influenced by this INTERNAL PICTURE. THIS PICTURE CONTROLS OUR PERCEPTION OF THINGS. Your self image is your mental and spiritual image or picture of yourself, which is the real key to performance or how you live your life. Self image creates boundaries for our accomplishments good or bad. It defines what you will or will not do.

CHANGING HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF IN YOUR HEART IS WHERE ALL TRANSFORMATION BEGINS. PRINCIPLES DON’T CHANGE A PERSON, IMAGES DO. WHEN A PRINCIPLE BECOMES AN IMAGE IN THE HEART THEN YOUR LIFE BECOMES TRANSFORMED.

WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF YOUR IMAGE. WRONG INSIDE PICTURE OF YOU WRONG LIVING.

“Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.””
GENESIS 1:26

IMAGE: REFLECTION OR RESEMBLANCE

LIKENESS: GIVES YOU THE IDEA OF MODEL, SHAPE, FASHION,

IMAGE is the nature of God, and LIKENESS is the function of God. We have been given God’s Nature to be recognized by us and the ability to function as He does.
All of this power, potential. The fall of man, Adam and Eve distorted his view of himself. Who you are depends on what you see. When you put a limit on what you can be, you put a limit on what you will be.

Jesus came to restore His Image In Us.
