SERMON NOTES

“Now thanks be to God for His indescribable gift [which is precious beyond words]!”
2 CORINTHIANS 9:15 AMP

“Let us thank God for his priceless gift!”
2 Corinthians 9:15 GNT

“Thanks be to God for his gift that is too wonderful for words.”
2 Corinthians 9:15 NCV

The word Gift in Greek means: a present, a sacrifice, offering.

We are to thank God for His priceless, indescribable gift. God gave us Jesus. He was born to die for us. To die so we could have life. Not just eternal life but true, peaceful, successful, purposeful, honest, joyful living here on earth.

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].”
JOHN 10:10 AMP

I came that they us may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full till it overflows.

This is Abundant, Amazing living, this is Jesus living. We get it all. Without pain and shame.

This gift is freedom. This gift is guilt free.  This gift has no condemnation or shame. This gift is love. This gift is filled with Joy and Happiness. This gift must be received. When you do not receive this gift you are left to find a counterfeit of this gift. The counterfeits to this love and freedom are empty. God so loves us that He will let us make the choices to choose or not.

God gave us the gift, but is the responsibility of every human to choose this gift. You must open the present, the gift. God gave but it is our responsibility to receive.

To take the gift and make this gift our own gift.

This gift is our HOPE.

The Bible tells us that we are the body of Christ on the earth! Our arms are the arms of Jesus as we reach out to others in love. Our voice is the voice of Jesus as we share a word of encouragement and hope with others. Our hands are the hands of Jesus that bring healing and comfort to those in need.

When we extend our hands of comfort to meet the needs of others, God will see that our needs are met!

Jesus said, “If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more” (Luke 6:38, NLT). So let’s be constantly sowing seeds of love, seeds of encouragement, seeds of hope, seeds of healing and seeds of blessings in other people’s lives.
