“Now thanks be to God for His indescribable gift [which is precious beyond words]!”
2 CORINTHIANS 9:15 AMP

This is our theme scripture. This time of year we have to reminded of what this time is all about. We can get so caught up in the hype and materialism and yet miss the real and true meaning of life. We celebrate this season because of Jesus.

Jesus is the reason for the season.

Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values.

I believe that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. You see, when you let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust God, you’re able to be more patient. Patience is not just about waiting for something… it’s about how you wait, or your attitude while waiting.
Joyce Meyer

When you let go and learn to trust God—-IT RELEASES JOY IN YOUR LIFE.

Joy and happiness are wonderful feelings to experience, but are very different. Joy is more consistent and is cultivated internally. It comes when you make peace with who you are, why you are and how you are, whereas happiness tends to be externally triggered and is based on other people, things, places, thoughts and events.

Joy is something entirely different from happiness. Joy, in the Biblical context, is not an emotion.

There is a big difference between joy and happiness. Happiness is an emotion and temporary; joy is an attitude of the heart.

Happiness is created by outside stuff. Get new car, someone does something nice for you.

In December 7 1985, Yvonne and I got married. We got a hotel for the night, and went to a Selena tribute concert. That made me so happy.

We went to a seafood restaurant and it was not good at all. That could effect my happiness, but I was with the woman I have loved for so many years, the mother of my children. Joy is what I have it is deeper.

This is the real challenge to do life in joy and not happiness. So many times we can get into a place of not being happy because we are having challenges and trials. Let’s face it, trial, challenges and hardships are not fun. They don’t make us happy.

This is why it so dangerous to live life with your emotions of happiness leading your life. Just as quick as something makes you happy you can switch to not being happy.

We ordered some food flat bread and we were so happy, excited because we were thinking about other flat breads that have been amazing so we are so happy and excited waiting.

Hahahah, it comes and it is burned, the bread is black. Happiness shifted real quick.

Happiness is a wonderful emotion, but it will always shift up and down based on what is going on outside of your life. Extra money, happy, did not get what you wanted, unhappy.

Happiness outside, outside, outside.

Joy is inside, deep inside and because it is not created or controlled by what happens outside of you, joy can change the feelings of unhappiness or disappointments.

“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.”
Habakkuk 3:17-19 KJV

The writer speaks of hard times. No flowers, no fruit in the vines, olives fail, no meat no where. Yet i will rejoice in the Lord. I WILL JOY IN THE GOD OF MY SALVATION.

WHEN I READ THIS IS WAS NOT I WILL BE JOYFUL BUT I WILL JOY IN THE GOD OF MY SALVATION. I WILL JOY.

I WILL JOY. IT IS AN ANOINTED CHOICE TO CHOOSE. MANY THINGS ARE HAPPENING THAT ARE NOT MAKING ME HAPPY. WE LOOK TO THINGS TO MAKE US HAPPY, NEW CAR, NEW HOUSE, BETTER JOB, EXTRA CHECK IN THE MAIL, TRIP OR VACATION.

I WILL JOY. I CHOOSE JOY NO MATTER WHAT I HAVE OR DO NOT HAVE. THIS IS A WAY OF LIVING. WHERE YOU GROW IN GOD WHERE WHAT YOU HAVE OR DO NOT HAVE DOES NOT CONTROL YOUR EMOTIONS.

I CAN NOT BE HAPPY BUT BE IN JOY IN THE LORD. THAT ACT, THAT CHOICE TO BE IN JOY THEN WILL BEGIN TO CHANGE THE WAY I THINK AND FEEL ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON OUTSIDE OF ME.

THIS JOY WHEN YOU CHOOSE JOY, CAN CAUSE YOU TO RISE ABOVE THE LEVE OF HAPPY NOT HAPPY.

JOY IS DEEP.

“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”
PSALM 16:11 AMP

MANY PEOPLE WHEN ALL THEY GOT IS THE EMOTION OF HAPPINESS NEVER REALLY ARE SATISFIED. THEY CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH TO MAKE THEM HAPPY. REMEMBER WHEN YOU RELYING OF STUFF TO MAKE YOU HAPPY NOT REALLY.

THE ACRONYM FOR JOY IS JESUS, OTHERS, AND YOU LAST.

YOU WILL SHOW ME THE PATH OF LIFE, NOT STUFF OR THINGS.

HAPPINESS IS USUALLY REALLY ALL ABOUT YOU AND WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY. JOY IS MUCH DEEPER IT IS ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON INSIDE OF YOU WITH GOD.

IN YOUR PRESENCE IS FULLNESS OF JOY. HERE IS WHY SO FEW EVERY GET THIS DEEP IN THIER JOY. IN YOUR PRESENCE IS FULLNESS OF JOY.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.”
ROMANS 15:13 AMP

“Then Ezra said to them, “Go [your way], eat the rich festival food, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be worried, for the joy of the LORD is your strength and your stronghold.” So the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, for the day is holy; do not be worried.” Then all the people went on their way to eat, to drink, to send portions [of food to others] and to celebrate a great festival, because they understood the words which had been communicated to them.”
NEHEMIAH 8:10-12 AMP
